ANATOMIA
Module ANATOMIA UMANA E DENTALE

Academic Year 2023/2024 - Teacher: CLAUDIA LOMBARDO

Expected Learning Outcomes

The general objective of the course: - Know the methods and language of anatomy as a business tool. - Learn the exploration of form and relationship between different bodies. - Acquire the skills of observation and description of macroscopic and microscopic. - Have the basic content of human stomatognathic apparatus Anatomy.

Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it

Course Structure

SPECIALIST ANATOMY OF THE CRANIOFACIAL DISTRICT The facial mass and its relationship with the neurocranium and the neck regions. Deep lateral surfaces of the Face: Infratemporal Fossa and Pterigo-palatina.

The development of the facial mass, signs of embryology.

Oral cavity anatomy: macroscopic, microscopic, topographic anatomy, development, malformations, vascularization and innervation of the vestibule, lips, cheeks, gingival, alveolar dental upper and lower arches. Differences between deciduous and permanent teeth.

The temporomandibular joint The masticatory muscles, mimic muscles, gums, periodontal, the buccal cavity proper, the floor of the mouth and the hyoid apparatus, the tongue, the major and minor salivary glands, the jaws, the pharynx

Temporal Region Parotid Region Masseterian Region The cranial nerves functionally and topographically related to the facial massif and the connections with the orthosympathetic.

Seminars - Overview of craniofacial growth - Biodynamics of temporal bone, TMJ and maxilla.

General contents of the theoretical-practical course - Theoretical-practical knowledge of the bones making up the Neurocranium. - Theoretical-practical knowledge of the bones making up the facial massif. - Theoretical-practical knowledge of the buccal cavity and all its components.

Specification of practical standards Plastic or figurative construction of components of the skull, oral cavity, vascular and nervous system of the stomatognathic apparatus. (Each student can choose

the expressive means according to his / her aptitude skills).

The paper can be shown during the exams and will be evaluated for the degree of anatomical information represented.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Temporal Region Parotid region The masseter region - The cranial nerves related functionally and topographically the facial and the connections with the sympathetic. Seminars - Overview of craniofacial growth - Biodynamic temporal bone, TMJ and jaw. - Techniques and tools for studying morphological and structural in dentistry. Overall content of the theoretical and practical course - Theoretical and practical knowledge of the bones forming the cranium. - Theoretical and practical knowledge of the bones forming the facial massif. - Knowledge of the theory and practice of oral and all of its components. Specifying standards of practice: Construction of plastic or figurative components of the skull, the oral cavity, vascular and nervous stomatognathic apparatus. (Each student can choose the means of expression depending on the capabilities attitudinal) The paper can be performed in the exams and will be evaluated for the degree of anatomical information represented.
