Contenuti del corso
Total prosthesis course:
1. Anatomical-functional consequences of edentulism: aims and limits of total prosthetic treatment;
2. Topographic anatomy and examination of the edentulous patient;
3. Prosthetic pre-treatment: registration of the intermaxillary relationships and occlusal readjustment
of pre-existing prostheses;
4. Prosthetic pre-treatment: the pre- and post-extraction temporary total prosthesis;
5. Prosthetic pre-treatment: conditioning of the supporting tissues;
6. Impression procedures of edentulous jaws: theoretical assumptions and application techniques
of the mucostatic, mucodynamic and functional imprint;
7. Creation of the primary model and construction of the individual impression tray;
8. Bordering the individual impression tray and making the definitive impression of the jaws
edentulous: mucostatic impression with functionalization of the frenulum;
9. The casting, the boxing of the impression and the packaging of the bases with wax valleys;
10. The vertical dimension of occlusion and rest of the face: theoretical assumptions and techniques
detection;
11. The intermaxillary relationships on the horizontal plane;
12. Adaptation of the valleys and techniques for recording the limit movements and the therapeutic position
departure;
13. Mounting the models in the articulator and checking the registration;
14. The aesthetic and phonetic problem in total dentures: the individualized assembly of the front teeth;
15. The assembly of diatoric teeth according to the principles of multilocal occlusion and
independently stable during chewing;

18. Selective grinding of polymerized prostheses, clinical adaptation and body finishing
prosthetic;
19. Reregistration and reassembly of the models in the articulator;
20. Delivery of the prosthetic product: indications for use and instructions for home hygiene;
21. Periodic checks and direct and indirect relining techniques;
22. Overdentures on natural and artificial root anchors;
23. Dental emergencies and procedures for repairs;
24. Clinical cases.
Removable partial prosthesis course:
1. Removable partial prosthesis: indications, purposes, principles;
2. Kennedy classification and its variables;
3. Constituents of the PPR: main connectors, secondary connectors and hooks;
4. Secondary supports and retentions;
5. Construction principles of the PPR;
6. Clinical examination and collection of instrumental data: visit, preliminary impression, study models;
7. Parallel analysis and treatment plan;
8. Pre-treatments: strategic extractions, professional hygiene, conservative, endodontic and
periodontal treatment;
9. Preparation of the dental elements, impression and creation of the master model;
10. Parallelometer analysis of the master model and design of the skeletonized prosthesis;
11. Dental engineering creation of the metal substructure;
12. Physiological adjustment, impression of the edentulous saddles and ''altered cast'' technique;
13. Recording of intermaxillary relationships and assembly in the articulator;
14. Control of the assembly of the artificial teeth, polymerization and modeling of the PPR;
15. Clinical adaptation, indications for use and instructions for home hygiene of PPR;
16. Precision attacks: indications, purposes, principles;
17. Classification of attacks;
18. Periodic checks.
